A strategic partnership to accelerate innovation in low-carbon hydrogen

Hynamics, a subsidiary of the EDF Group dedicated to low-carbon hydrogen production, EDF power solutions, responsible for the development of renewable hydrogen projects and their derivatives internationally, and CORYS today announced an ambitious partnership agreement for the development of hydrogen process simulators. This partnership marks a crucial step forward in innovation and technological mastery of electrolysers, key elements in the hydrogen production chain.

Under this agreement, Hynamics and EDF power solutions will use CORYS' INDISS PLUS® simulation platform to develop a simulator dedicated to the alkaline electrolyser system. This tool will enable accurate modelling of the performance, dynamic behaviour and interactions of this process in various environments, offering unprecedented opportunities for the optimisation of industrial processes.

At the same time, CORYS will develop a PEM (Proton Exchange Membrane) electrolyser simulator, with technical and operational support from Hynamics. This simulator will meet the growing needs for training, engineering validation and operational optimisation, thereby enhancing the safety and efficiency of hydrogen technologies.

This dual development illustrates the complementary nature of the partners' expertise and their shared commitment to the energy transition. By combining Hynamics' process knowledge, the specific features of EDF Power Solutions' projects incorporating intermittent renewable energy production, and CORYS' simulation expertise, this partnership will help to enhance the performance, safety and reliability of low-carbon hydrogen facilities.

This strategic partnership positions Hynamics, EDF Power Solutions and CORYS at the forefront of innovation in the field of hydrogen, paving the way for major technological advances and a faster, more efficient energy transition.
