Strengthening ties with the region

Ongoing consultation allows for open and regular dialogue with citizens, local actors and stakeholders throughout the development of the project, after the initial preliminary consultation phase. It aims to provide information on the progress of the project, gather questions and comments, and promote a better understanding of the issues at stake. This phase corresponds to the continuity of public information and participation until the public inquiry is opened.

On 2 July 2025, the CNDP appointed Bernard PACORY as guarantor of ongoing public participation in the Take Kair project. The guarantor ensures that the public is properly informed and involved, making sure that the consultation process allows the public to be informed, ask questions, receive answers, and submit comments and proposals. He is present at all discussions organised as part of the consultation process. The guarantor will also support discussions on the establishment of a monitoring committee.

A public meeting to launch this new phase

To accompany the launch of this ongoing consultation phase, a public meeting will be held on 9 September 2025, from 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm, in the Donges multipurpose hall. It will provide an opportunity to:

  • present the results of the preliminary consultation carried out by the CNDP guarantors;
  • respond to requests for clarification and recommendations made by the guarantors and share the lessons learned by the project owner from the dialogue with citizens, associations and economic stakeholders;
  • specify the terms of the ongoing consultation; • outline the various stages of the project going forward;
  • respond to questions and gather initial contributions for the next stages of the project.

Take Kair in brief

Take Kair is an innovative project to build and operate an e-fuel production plant, mainly for aviation, in Donges, in the Nantes Saint-Nazaire Port area.

E-kerosene is one of the solutions for limiting CO₂ emissions and helping to combat global warming. Take Kair will thus enable CO₂ emissions to be reduced by a factor of 5 compared to the use of fossil kerosene.
