EDF Renewables and Hynamics invest in decarbonising Tees Valley
Challenges & Perspectives
Tees Green Hydrogen is a pioneering project to produce renewable hydrogen by electrolysis, using electricity from low-carbon sources. The hydrogen produced will be supplied to local industry to support its decarbonisation efforts, helping to significantly reduce industrial pollution.
Phase 2 of the project involves the installation of a 100 MW electrolyser, in addition to the 8 MW electrolyser already planned in phase 1. This phased approach will enable the project's ramp-up to be adapted to the demand for hydrogen from local industry.
